Key Responsibilities 

• Conduct in-person and virtual consultations with homeowners and businesses. 
• Identify customer energy needs and determine solar opportunities. 
• Educate customers on solar systems, energy savings, financing, incentives, and long-term benefits. 
• Present customized solar proposals and explain system designs and expected benefits. 
• Manage leads, follow-ups, appointments, and opportunities through the CRM. 
• Build strong relationships with prospective and existing customers. 
• Handle customer questions, concerns, and objections professionally. 
• Meet and exceed individual sales targets. 
• Maintain accurate customer and sales information in the CRM. 
• Work closely with design, operations, purchasing, and installation teams to ensure a smooth customer transition from sale to installation. 
• Stay current on Canadian solar incentives, provincial programs, net metering, financing options, and industry developments. 

Requirements 

• Proven experience in sales, consultative selling, business development, or customer-facing roles. 
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. 
• Ability to explain technical and financial information in a simple, customer-friendly manner. 
• Strong follow-up, organization, and time-management skills. 
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, and comfortable working independently. 
• Comfortable using CRM and sales/proposal software. 
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for local customer appointments is an asset. 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Experience in solar, renewable energy, home improvement, construction, HVAC, roofing, or other high-value products/services. 
• Knowledge of Canadian solar incentives, net metering, financing, and provincial programs. 
• Experience with Close CRM, SolarGraf, Aurora Solar, or similar platforms. 
• Proven record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. 
• Existing relationships within the local residential or commercial market are an advantage.
