Food Truck Line Cook

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our Food Truck. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering consistent food, in a food truck setting. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation and ensuring that all food safety standards are met. Your ability to work collaboratively with other kitchen staff will contribute to the overall success of our restaurant.

Duties

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and restaurant standards.
• Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner, maintaining high quality and presentation.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper food handling techniques.
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of the kitchen at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service.
• Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management when reordering is necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.

Experience

• Previous experience as a cook in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices for food handling.
• Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team setting.
• A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new techniques is essential.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.59-$21.07 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 35 per week
