Quality Control Sampling Technician

Job Responsibility:

Position Summary

Reporting to the Raw Material Supervisor, the Quality Control Sampling Technician is responsible to ensure that the production operations are conducted in accordance with food safety rules and are compliant with the quality standards for processes and products.

Responsibilities

• Perform organoleptic analysis for frozen fruits and vegetables (like taste, smell, brix, titration).
• Prepare non-conformity regarding quality issue and communicate to supplier regarding issue.
• Sample inbound containers of raw materials for Microbiological/Physiochemical Testing.
• Perform health checks and allergen tests on products and equipment.
• Sample finish goods when required.
• Record the sampling details.
• Ensure process compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety principles, SQF standards, throughout the production process.
• Perform GMP inspections in the production room.
• Prepare samples for customers and assist with shipment of the package.
• Perform chemical titration weekly.
• Assist with data entry.
• Track the incoming Raw materials and verify all require information's.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Alternate quality technician.

Skills & Qualifications

• Bilingual - English/French, written and spoken to serve internal and external clients.
• Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment (an asset).
• Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
• Ability to work in a cold environment (-5C).
• Ability to work in a team as well as independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
