Lead Mechanical Designer for Trailers

Become a Lead Mechanical Designer at All-Equip in St. Marys, Ontario, and drive the design of cutting-edge grain trailers. This role is fully on-site with a focus on quality and efficiency. All-Equip, a prominent trailer manufacturer since 2011, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Designer to oversee the development of specialty trailers. This position demands a strong background in CAD design and a solid understanding of manufacturing processes. You will focus on creating optimized designs and providing guidance to junior team members. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee design development of grain trailers
- Create and review CAD models in Onshape
- Ensure compliance with safety and industry standards
- Collaborate to optimize production processes
- Provide mentorship and support to less experienced designers
- Minimum 5 years mechanical design experience
- Expertise in structural design and weldments
- Proficient in CAD software, ideally Onshape
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Educational background in mechanical engineering
