The Opportunity:

We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Software Quality Assurance Specialist to join our talented team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of various software through thorough testing and validation processes. You will collaborate closely with developers and stakeholders to identify issues, implement improvements, and uphold our commitment to delivering high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to systematically evaluate software applications.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and acceptance testing to identify defects and ensure software meets specified requirements.
• Collaborate with software developers and product managers to understand project requirements and validate functionality.
• Document and track issues using bug tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla), ensuring clear communication and resolution of identified problems.
• Conduct exploratory testing to uncover usability issues, inconsistencies, and edge cases in software applications.
• Participate in reviews of software design and requirements to provide input on potential quality risks and improvement opportunities.
• Create and maintain automated test scripts to streamline testing processes and enhance efficiency.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to promote quality assurance best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Prepare and deliver clear and concise reports on testing results, status updates, and quality metrics.
• Write and conduct Installation, Operation, and Performance (IOP) Qualification Protocols to validate software installations and performance under various conditions.
• Perform general maintenance and testing of software systems to ensure ongoing reliability and performance.

General Skills:

Qualifications:

• College Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience in software quality assurance.
• Proven experience in software testing methodologies, test planning, and execution.
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit) is a plus.
• Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for test automation purposes.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins).
• Previous experience testing web applications, mobile apps (iOS/Android), and/or desktop software.
• Knowledge of performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) and performance testing strategies.
• Understanding of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies.
• Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) or related fields is a plus.
