Scale Clerk

We are seeking a  Scale Clerk  to join our team from  Monday through Friday (Saturday OT available) . 

As a Scale Clerk you will be responsible for accurately documenting weights and providing exceptional customer service. This position requires strong attention to detail excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

What youre responsible for:

• Operating the scale system to accurately weigh incoming and outgoing metal materials
• Recording weights and relevant information in the computer system or on paper records
• Greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Maintaining accurate records of all transactions weights material types and customer information
• Verifying the identification and documentation of drivers carriers and vehicles while issuing receipts and processing payments accurately
• Providing general administrative support including answering phone calls responding to emails and maintaining filing systems

Qualifications :

To join our team:

• You have previous experience as a scale house operator or strong customer service setting
• You have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• You have proficient computer skills and experience with scale software and Microsoft Office applications
• You have the ability to handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records
• You have effective communication skills both verbal and written
