Vice President Operations - Distilling (Global Site Lead)

Senior Site Director

MacDonald Search Group has been asked by our beverage manufacturing client to find a first-class Senior Site Director to join their team in Windsor, Ontario (on-site leadership role).


This search fills a current vacancy.
Compensation base $175,000 - $225,000 + significant variable bonus


The primary responsibility of this role will be to lead a large-scale production facility, driving operational excellence across safety, quality, cost, delivery, and sustainability while building a high-performing leadership culture.
Some of what you will do in this role includes:


- Provide full operational leadership across manufacturing, production planning, engineering, logistics, and site performance initiatives
- Establish and deliver annual operating plans, financial targets, and sustainability objectives in partnership with plant leadership
- Develop and coach site leadership teams to strengthen safety culture, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Optimize materials, labour, equipment, and capacity planning to meet production and customer commitments
- Lead Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement strategies while ensuring compliance with all regulatory and safety standards




You should have the following in your background to apply:


- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Food Science, Finance, or a related discipline
- 8-10+ years of progressive operations leadership experience within a manufacturing environment
- 5+ years of experience within beverage, food processing, or highly regulated production operations
- Demonstrated success leading large, unionized teams and driving measurable improvements in safety, quality, and cost performance
- Proven ability to lead change initiatives and implement Lean or continuous improvement programs
