Hitch Professional TECHNICIEN(NE) POUR LES SERVICES D’ATTACHES DE REMORQUE

Les techniciens pour les services d’attaches de remorque travaillent sur le terrain des Centres U-Haul pour le déménagement et l’entreposage afin de fournir un service exceptionnel aux clients grâce à leur expertise technique approfondie.

Responsabilités principales des techniciens pour les services d’attaches de remorque :
- Comprendre et expliquer la variété d’ensembles de remorquage offerts par U-Haul.
- Recommander et installer le bon ensemble de remorquage sur les véhicules de clients.
- Prépare des factures d’achat.
Milieu de travail
Ce travail implique des risques modérés ou des risques de malaises qui nécessitent des mesures de sécurité spéciales, p. ex. travailler en présence de pièces en mouvement, de machines, d’émanations ou de produits chimiques irritants. On pourra donc exiger le port de vêtements ou d’équipement de protection individuelle comme des masques, des lunettes, des gants ou des écrans faciaux.
Exigences physiques
Ce travail requiert des actions comportant de l’effort physique comme rester sur place autant à l’intérieur qu’à l’extérieur pendant de longues périodes de temps, parcourir des espaces ainsi que se repositionner pour atteindre et utiliser des outils. Il faut aussi pouvoir déplacer un minimum de 23 kg (50 lb) avec ou sans aide.

Hitch Service Technician Primary Responsibilities
- Understand and explain U-Haul’s variety of towing packages
- Recommend and install the right tow package on customer vehicles
- Prepare purchase invoices
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to maintain a good driving record to operate commercial motor vehicles
- Basic wiring and hand/power tool experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Work Environment
The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g. working around moving parts, machines, fumes, or irritant chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing, or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields.
Physical Demands
The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods both indoors and outdoors of remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs assisted or unassisted.

Since 1945, U-Haul has been serving do-it-yourself movers and their households. Like many other successful ventures, the concept for U-Haul was generated out of need. After World War II, there existed the widespread need for do-it-yourself moving equipment that would be available on a one-way, nationwide basis.
U-Haul co-founders L.S. "Sam" Shoen and his wife, Anna Mary Carty Shoen, recognized that need and acted upon it. Their visionary approach spread the cost of ownership among many users, facilitating the mobility of the populations of the U.S. and Canada. The covered wagon of the pioneers morphed into orange U-Haul trailers. In the process, an industry was born.
