Compensation: Up to $230,000 + bonus (based on experience), full benefits, and more

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and transformational Vice President, Operations to lead and optimize a complex North American operations network supporting a multi-brand, multi-channel business across Canada and the United States.

Reporting to the Executive Vice President of Operations and partnering closely with divisional leadership, this executive will serve as the senior operational authority responsible for driving operational excellence, scalable growth, supply chain performance, customer service, distribution, logistics, inventory governance, facilities management, and business transformation initiatives.

The VP Operations will oversee a portfolio generating approximately $400M USD in annual revenue while leading the development and execution of strategies that improve operational efficiency, accelerate growth, strengthen customer satisfaction, mitigate risk, and enhance organizational performance. This leader will play a critical role in integrating new business initiatives and acquisitions while building a world-class operational infrastructure capable of supporting long-term growth.

What You'll Do

Strategic Leadership & Business Growth

  • Serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership in developing and executing growth initiatives across North America.
  • Lead the operational execution of business strategies that drive revenue growth, profitability, and scalability.
  • Analyze existing operations and identify opportunities to improve processes, productivity, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Act as a catalyst for transformation, operationalizing new business initiatives, acquisitions, and organizational changes.
  • Translate operational insights, risks, and opportunities into actionable recommendations for senior leadership.

Operations & Supply Chain Leadership

  • Lead all aspects of Distribution, Logistics, Transportation, Warehousing, Customer Service, Order Management, Inventory Control, and Business Operations.
  • Drive operational excellence and implement best practices to achieve a world-class supply chain network.
  • Oversee a network of internal distribution centers and third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure optimal service, cost efficiency, and inventory positioning.
  • Develop and execute shipping, inventory, and capacity forecasts while maintaining accountability for on-time delivery performance.
  • Partner with sourcing, production, planning, and sales teams to ensure operational alignment with business objectives.

Operational Governance & Continuous Improvement

  • Establish operational governance frameworks, KPIs, dashboards, and performance metrics to drive accountability and visibility.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer experience.
  • Create sustainable processes that support continuous improvement and organizational agility.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, workflow controls, escalation processes, and operating rhythms that enable predictable execution.
  • Leverage technology, automation, and data analytics to improve operational performance and decision-making.

Inventory, Systems & ERP Governance

  • Ensure inventory integrity, accuracy, and compliance across all facilities and channels.
  • Lead governance of ERP systems , including SAP controls, data integrity, user access reviews, upgrades, integrations, and operational reporting.
  • Establish business metrics and performance reporting structures that provide actionable insights.
  • Ensure audit readiness and compliance with financial and operational controls.

Financial & Commercial Partnership

  • Collaborate closely with Finance to achieve revenue, margin, and budget objectives.
  • Balance commercial opportunities with operational feasibility, risk management, and financial discipline.
  • Support customer onboarding governance , credit considerations, payment terms, and operational readiness.
  • Analyze operational chargebacks , identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to reduce costs and improve customer performance.

Risk Management & Business Continuity

  • Anticipate and mitigate supply chain disruptions, transportation risks, labor challenges, and operational vulnerabilities.
  • Develop and maintain business continuity and contingency plans.
  • Lead major operational transitions , including facility relocations, network redesigns, and systems implementations while ensuring uninterrupted customer service.

People Leadership

  • Lead, develop, coach, and inspire a high-performing operations organization.
  • Build succession plans and leadership pipelines that support organizational growth.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in talent reviews, workforce planning, organizational design, and leadership development initiatives.
  • Attract and retain top operational talent while building strong cross-functional partnerships throughout the organization.

Facilities & Corporate Operations

  • Oversee facilities management and operational infrastructure across multiple locations.
  • Ensure facilities support operational efficiency, safety, compliance, and business continuity requirements.
  • Approve operational workflows, access controls, and governance processes that support business execution.

What You Bring

Experience

  • 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in Operations, Supply Chain, Distribution, Logistics, or Business Operations.
  • Proven success leading large-scale, multi-site operations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience managing complex North American supply chain networks, including 3PL partnerships.
  • Demonstrated success leading business transformation, process improvement, and organizational change initiatives.
  • Experience supporting wholesale, retail, direct-to-consumer (DTC), and international operations is highly desirable.
  • Apparel, consumer products, lifestyle, or branded goods industry experience is preferred.
  • Experience supporting major retailers, including Costco, Walmart, Sam's Club, or similar accounts, is an asset.
  • ERP expertise, including SAP experience, strongly preferred.
