Job Responsibility:
We're a family owned and operated butcher shop with bistro located on our family farm. We're passionate about eating local, and we're looking for motivated team members who share our love of good food and great customer service. Located on our family farm, we specialize in our own naturally raised beef along with other high end meat choices.
For this position you need:
- A passion & creativity for delicious artisan foods
- Deli Experience a MUST
- MUST be willing to work both FOH & BOH Positions
- Kitchen / Food Related Experience an Asset
- Organized / Attention to Detail
- Shifts 8:00 am to 4:30 pm OR 10am-6:30pm Business needs dependent
- Must be available 1 weekend day
- Ability of lift 50lbs
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Producing a large array of sausages/pepperoni/deli meats
- Working with raw meat
- Creating new recipes when trained
- Schedule and assign daily list of jobs/tasks for the day
- Ensure that products are properly labelled & up to Hopcott standards
- Operate all food preparation machines and equipment
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Able to work comfortably in a cold working environment
- Ensure the facility is maintained neat, clean and safe
- Working front of house deli department serving customers
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Working in refrigerated/freezer areas with sharp knives & slicers
- Working with raw meat (Fresh/Frozen)
- Must wear steel toed boots, apron and smock
- Must be able to be active on feet for full shift. Face paced environment
