Job Responsibility:
We're currently looking for an energetic team player to join our fast-paced accounting office and assist in a transition to a centralized services approach of our administration department.
This is a high-volume position, with several key deadlines each month. Strong Excel and organizational skills are a must. The position is primarily geared towards accounts payable and may include some accounts receivable work.
Primary Accounts Payable responsibilities include:
- Ensuring proper verification and approval of invoices
- Entry of vendor invoices, charging expenses to appropriate GL accounts and cost centers
- Paying vendors; schedule and prepare cheques, ACH payments and weekly EFT's
- Verify and process employee expense reimbursements
- Reconcile vendor statements; communicate and respond to their inquiries
- Assist with month end reports
- Complete vendor credit applications
- Other duties as assigned
Primary Accounts Receivable responsibilities include:
- Billing reconciliation
- Customer account reconciliations
- Payment processing/application
- Preparing/processing invoices and adjustments
- Customer service to clients/internal groups.
Candidates must be detail-oriented, possess excellent keyboard skills, have excellent customer service skills, and be skilled in the use of Excel, Word, E-mail, and internet. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in AR/AP or large volume employer, and/or the equivalent to a two-year accounting or business diploma.

The starting wage for this position is $21.00-24.00/hour.
