The Storyboard Supervisor is responsible for leading the storyboard team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality storyboards that align with the project’s creative vision. The Storyboard Supervisor/Storyboard Director works closely with the Director and/or Supervising Director to execute the creative vision of the show while working within the schedule and budget for the series.

Titmouse is seeking an experienced Storyboard Supervisor / Storyboard Director to lead the storyboard team for an upcoming horror animated series. This role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality storyboards that support the project’s creative vision, tone, pacing, emotional beats, and production requirements.

The Storyboard Supervisor will work closely with the Director, Supervising Director, creative leads, and production team to guide storyboard artists, provide constructive feedback, maintain visual consistency across episodes, and ensure storyboards are delivered on schedule and within budget.

Key Responsibilities as Story Supervisor

The Storyboard Supervisor will lead and support a team of storyboard artists, ensuring all storyboard work aligns with the show’s visual style, creative direction, tone, pacing, and emotional beats. This role works closely with the Director, Supervising Director, creative leads, animation, layout, editorial, and production teams to ensure storyboards are clear, consistent, and production-ready.

The supervisor will provide constructive feedback, oversee revisions, maintain continuity across sequences and episodes, solve creative and technical challenges, and assist in presenting storyboard work to directors, producers, and other stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate has extensive experience as a Storyboard Artist, with at least 2 years of experience in a supervisory, directing, or leadership role. They should have a strong understanding of storytelling, shot composition, pacing, character emotion, animation principles, and visual storytelling.

Proficiency in Storyboard Pro or similar storyboard software is required, along with familiarity with animatics and animation production pipelines. Strong communication, leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills are essential, as this role requires overseeing multiple episodes in a fast-paced production environment.
