WHAT'S THE ROLE?

The Muzzo Group of Companies is looking for a Property Accountan t to join our leasing team and manage an assigned portfolio of residential and commercial rental properties. This is a permanent, full-time, on-site position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full-cycle accounting process for assigned properties and companies, including preparation of monthly bank reconciliations, bookkeeping, HST filings, invoice processing, bill payments, operating costs recoveries and intercompany reconciliations
• Preparation of year-end working papers and draft financial statements for assigned properties and companies
• Draft residential lease agreements
• Work directly with the Leasing Director to address any queries from tenants
• Prepare annual CAM reconciliations, budgets and variance analysis
• Prepare pro-forma operating statements for portfolio of rental properties and liaise with external creditors on annual review requirements
• Additional ad-hoc tasks, as assigned

Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field
• CPA student preferred
• Minimum 2 years' experience in an accounting related role
• Property accounting experience and lease interpretation is a key asset
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite applications, and in particular, a strong working knowledge of spreadsheets and Excel functions
• Dynamics D365 experience considered an asset
• Results-driven and ability to work independently
• Strong communication skills and a team player
• Keen attention to detail

Pay: $70,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
