Accountant CPA (REMOTE)

Join our Finance team as a Financial Accountant and play a key role in driving accuracy and excellence across our operations. Reporting to the Accounting Team Lead youll ensure that every transaction is recorded completely accurately and on timehelping us maintain the integrity of our financial reporting and support strategic decision-making. analyze and explain material variances.
Prepare and reconcile accounts; Identify and implement process improvements to enhance departmental efficiency and effectiveness.
Support the Finance team during month-end close and daily operations.
Maintain the General Ledger in Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains.
Monitor compliance with financial policies and procedures
Research and apply appropriate accounting treatments for various transactions under IFRS and ASPE.
Assist in audit preparation and collaborate with the Finance team during auditor visits.
Participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives as assigned by management.

University degree required preferably in Accounting
Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting or finance
Enrolment in a professional accounting designation program such as CPA is preferred
Strong account reconciliation skills
Advanced proficiency in Excel
Working knowledge of Great Plains Dynamics and MS Power BI is preferred
Skilled in documenting processes and internal controls
