Karma Legal Professional Corporation is seeking an energetic and driven Junior Lawyer with a strong focus in Family Law to join its fast-paced practice in Vaughan, Ontario. This is a full-time, in-person role requiring the candidate to work from the office.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in family law litigation, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to independently manage files and clients. Experience or exposure to other areas of law—such as Real Estate, Immigration, or Civil and Commercial Litigation—is preferred and will be considered a strong asset.
Provide legal advice and guidance on a wide range of family law matters
Independently manage family law files from intake to resolution
Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, and separation agreements
Conduct legal research to support case strategies and arguments
Contribute, where applicable, to files in other practice areas such as Real Estate, Immigration, or Civil and Commercial Litigation
or equivalent law degree
Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
Minimum of 1+ year experience handling Family Law matters , with litigation exposure preferred
Strong knowledge of Ontario family law legislation, procedures, and court processes
Proficiency in legal research and drafting, with experience using tools such as LexisNexis
Strong negotiation and advocacy skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with the ability to quickly learn new legal software systems
The selected candidate must be able to reliably commute to or relocate to the office location (Concord, ON L4K 3T8)
