In this role, you will contribute directly to the success of our customers, our operations, and the Fastfrate Group as a whole. The Driver Coordinator/Planner (Days) is the main point of contact between the backbone of the transportation industry (our AZ Drivers) and the organization. This role is responsible for effectively coordinating a group of drivers to success through continual communication from the shipment pick-up to delivery and ensuring the appropriate internal departments (i.e. Customer Service, Breakdown, Customs) are aware of any updates.

Hours of Work: Friday to Sunday, 7:00am-7:00pm

Employment Status: Full-time

Compensation: $45,000 - $50,000, including $2,000 shift premium while working weekend days

Planning trucks effectively to reduce empty miles; Dispatches trucks on planned loads; tracks dispatched trucks on a daily basis to ensure on-time performance
Works with Driver Coordinators to achieve driver needs and goals
Monitors and maintains customer trailer pools
Responds to and resolving driver inquiries in a professional and respectful manner.
Assists Customer Service Department with any customer inquiries regarding the shipment.
Participates in driver retention initiatives including data collection, root cause analysis and mediation.
Ensures integrity of data in our system including ETAs, driver availability, projected late shipments, etc.
Experience in the transportation industry is an asset.
Enjoy solving problems and helping people, including drivers, customers, and colleagues.
Strong analytical skills with a focus on root-cause analysis and understanding the “why.”
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy, quality of work, and data integrity.
Enjoy geography and using it to plan and dispatch trucks efficiently.
Skilled in planning loads, reducing empty miles, and improving equipment utilization.
Able to monitor and manage customer trailer pools and track daily on-time performance.
Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and leaders at all levels.
Self-motivated, well-organized, and able to manage time effectively with minimal supervision.
