Technical Sales Engineer

As a Sales Engineer at Next Dimension you will play a key role in driving business by collaborating with Sales Representatives to identify and understand client needs proposing impactful IT infrastructure solutions and ensuring they align with the clients security posture. You will leverage your technical expertise to design scope and estimate solutions while working with internal SMEs ensuring alignment with the companys service catalog and long-term goals.
Client Needs Assessment : Collaborate closely with Sales Representatives to not only understand what clients are asking for but also identify their business needs. This includes drafting Statements of Work (SOW) estimates for services and generating accurate quotes using ConnectWise Sell utilizing existing templates or creating new ones when necessary.
If the solution extends beyond the service catalog consult with the CTO to ensure alignment with the companys long-term service offerings.
Submit proposed solutions for review through the companys Solutions Review Process providing the Solutions Review Team an opportunity to validate and approve estimates and project details.
Engage directly with clients to discuss proposed solutions and when necessary perform site inspections to gather accurate details. Create drawings and take photographs when required to enhance understanding of the project scope.
Distributor Engagement : Actively engage with our distributors and vendors to create accurate Bills of Materials (BOM). Continuous Improvement : Stay up-to-date with new technologies industry trends and best practices to ensure solutions remain current and competitive in the market.
Proven experience in a Sales Engineer Solution Architect or similar technical sales role ideally within an MSP or IT services environment.
Problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset.
Ability to conduct site inspections and provide clear technical documentation.
