Front/ React Developer

Job Responsibility:
The ITARA MAPS team in Institutional Securities Technology (IST) division has an excellent opportunity for a Front-End Developer to join our development team in Montreal. The successful candidate will have a solid background in UI development, excellent communication skills and be motivated to work in a fast-paced environment where time to market is paramount. In this role the candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and back-end developers, to create seamless user interface for web application. Develop, test, and maintain responsive UI components using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (Angular/React). Ensure a smooth user experience by optimizing web pages for maximum speed and scalability.
The candidate will work closely with end-users/product owners in Sales & Trading, Operations, Risk & Compliance etc. to prioritize, design and implement our next generation of user friendly, web-based interfaces on a suite of applications that cater to Metadata management, Trade Data Quality infrastructure and Trade reporting activities. This is a growing and important area of focus for the Firm.
Skills Required:
5+ years of development experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript Must have experience with at least one JavaScript framework/library (e.g., Angular, React) Familiarity with version control tools like Git Experience with CSS pre-processors (Sass, LESS) Knowledge of state management libraries (Redux, Vuex) Experience with UI testing frameworks. Familiarity with build tools and task runners (Webpack, Gulp, etc) Experience on all aspects of SDLC Strong communication skills

Pay: $60.00-$70.00 per hour
