You understand that every design is a tradeoff between power, performance, and area, and you know how to find the right balance. You work closely with layout teams to manage parasitics, with verification engineers to corner designs properly, and with customers who need clear explanations of what you built and why it works. You bring both technical rigor and practical problem-solving to every project. At Synopsys, you will design high-speed communication IP that ships into real products, working with serious tools and a team that values quality.
Design and optimize circuit architectures for PLLs, equalizers, CDRs, and transmit drivers
Run transistor-level simulations using SPICE tools, including corner analysis and Monte Carlo verification
Present simulation results and design tradeoffs to internal teams and customers
Document circuit functionality, verification coverage, and test plans for IP integration
Deliver high-speed PAM4 SerDes IP for next-generation data center, AI, and networking products
Strengthen Synopsys' leadership in analog and mixed-signal IP with reliable, high-performance circuits
Drive architectural decisions that shape power, area, and speed tradeoffs in multi-gigabit systems
Enable customer success with well-documented, thoroughly verified IP
Mentor team members and elevate design quality across the group
Influence future SerDes roadmaps through circuit innovation and technical insight
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years in analog or mixed-signal IC design
Strong experience with transistor-level CMOS design and SerDes sub-circuits
Scripting skills in TCL, Python, or MATLAB for simulation automation
Clear communication skills for technical presentations and documentation
You work iteratively with layout engineers, addressing parasitics as the design evolves
You explain complex simulation data clearly to engineers and customers alike
You stay current with circuit techniques and SerDes standards
You thrive in collaborative environments with rigorous design reviews
