Print Production Associate

Work in a fast-paced print production environment supporting high-volume digital printing, finishing, and client request management within a large manufacturing setting. This role blends hands-on print operations, quality control, and customer interaction while coordinating print jobs, equipment use, and document workflows to deliver accurate, on-time production results.

What is in it for you:

Responsibilities:

• Receive and review incoming print requests, confirm specifications with end users, and coordinate production timelines.
• Consult with internal clients to clarify project requirements and recommend appropriate print solutions.
• Operate digital print equipment and manage print production workflows.
• Operate finishing equipment including paper cutters, bindery tools, laminators, and drills.
• Perform quality inspections before, during, and after each production run to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Support print, bindery, finishing, and packaging processes to complete production orders.
• Prepare finished materials by wrapping, packing, labeling, and arranging shipment or delivery.
• Maintain production logs, reporting records, and documentation required for tracking and billing.
• Monitor device status and provide basic printer support, including replacing toner and supplies.
• Maintain inventory of print materials and production supplies.
• Assist with document layout adjustments, imposition, and basic image preparation when required.
• Coordinate activities with colleagues and site leadership to ensure efficient workflow.
• Provide backup support for mailroom and administrative functions when needed.
• Assist with month-end tracking, reporting, and billing support tasks.
• Communicate regularly with clients through email, phone calls, and in-person consultations.

What you will need to succeed:

• Post-secondary technical training or education in graphic arts, print technology, imaging science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in a professional print shop or production printing environment.
• Experience operating digital print production equipment and standard finishing equipment.
• Strong knowledge of print workflows, bindery processes, and production quality control.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with Adobe or desktop publishing software.
• Solid computer skills including managing files, network drives, and connected print devices.
• Strong customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to coordinate multiple print requests and manage production schedules effectively.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic production or equipment issues to maintain workflow continuity.
• Ability to lift materials up to approximately 50 pounds and remain on feet for extended periods.
• Valid driver’s license with ability to travel locally within a facility campus when required.
• Positive, outgoing personality with the ability to interact professionally with internal clients and colleagues.
