CLINICAL TRIAL ASSISTANT (FULL-TIME)
Lady Davis Institute for Medical Research/Jewish General Hospital
An immediate full-time position (35 hours/week) is available on the research team of Dr. Michael Goldfarb, critical care cardiologist and Lady Davis Institute for Medical Research (LDI) researcher. Goldfarb’s research focuses on patient- and family-centered care in intensive care units (ICU), with an
emphasis on improving communication, engagement, and the overall care experience for both patients
Current projects include evaluating whether a communication and engagement tool (NGAGE) can
impact of family participation in daily healthcare team rounds in the adult ICU (Family-ICU Study); identifying effective strategies to recruit and follow family members of ICU patients in clinical research.
Contribute to participant recruitment for the research team’s ongoing trials, through:
Collecting pertinent data in accordance with research protocol guidelines,
- Maintaining effective communication and collaboration with other research team members,
- Building good rapport with healthcare staff while recruiting (nurses, physicians, etc.).
Bilingual: French and English
Bachelor’s degree preferred and an asset
Experience as research assistant or recruiting participants is an asset
Familiarity with REDCap is an asset
Familiarity with Good Clinical Practice is an asset
