Reporting to the Associate Director of Utility Distribution Systems, the Engineering Supervisor leads a team of professionals responsible for all aspects of utility engineering. This role provides technical leadership and strategic direction to ensure long-term system planning while driving performance improvements across the utility's infrastructure. To succeed in this role, you'll need strong leadership abilities, a deep understanding of the utility industry, exceptional communication skills, and a genuine commitment to fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

The Engineering Supervisor is an on-site position located in Medicine Hat, Alberta. Relocation Assistance is available for the successful candidate. Lead professional engineering teams to deliver high-quality, efficient, and timely results.

Provide expert technical guidance, review, and approval for distribution engineering designs, studies, and construction packages.

Monitor system capacity and contribute to long-term planning initiatives, including growth forecasting and infrastructure needs.

Effective communication and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.

Knowledge of project management principles, as well as competitive bidding processes, contract negotiation and contract management.

Successful completion of degree in Electrical Engineering, from a recognized post-secondary institution.

Seven (7) years directly related work experience as a Professional Engineer in the utility industry including experience in asset management and system growth programs, as well as three (3) years of experience in a supervisory capacity.

Possess and maintain a valid Class 5 Alberta Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
