Production worker - full time - temporary.

Weyerhaeuser's (Engineered Wood Products) Parallam manufacturing Plant, located on Annacis Island (Delta), British Columbia , is currently seeking Production Associates . Our plant manufactures the high strength engineered wood product Parallam and is a participative management team concept operation. Successful candidates will be provided with all the required training to perform their role safely and efficiently and will initially provide support across a multi-shift/24-hour hour production environment. The standard production shift length is 12 hours, with a mixture of dayshifts and nightshifts (including weekends) required. The new hires will work full-time hours, averaging 40 hours/week, and will be performing in a variety of capacities to produce quality products for our customers.

Responsible for the daily operation of manufacturing equipment that produces engineered wood products.
Involvement in ongoing process improvement in the work area.
Operate forklifts and other mobile equipment to manage product flow.
Perform quality checks and ensure production of a quality product.
Complete shift paperwork and recordkeeping.
Attending team meetings and regular training sessions.
High School graduation certificate or GED
Committed to follow safe work policies, practices and procedures.
Ability to work rotating shift schedules (12-hour shifts/night shifts/weekends)
At least 1 year experience working in industrial/manufacturing/construction environments preferred.
