Cooks and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
Properly stores food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
Maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including accurate food safety and sanitation
Ensures security of company assets
At Aramark, developing new skills and doing what it takes to get the job done make a positive impact for our employees and for our customers. 3+ years culinary experience preferably in institutional industries such as hospitals, higher education, or correctional facilities
- Experience with large quantity batch cooking an asset
- Bilingual in French and English considered an asset
- Working towards Journeyman or Red Seal Certification in the Cook trade or equivalent considered an asset
- Valid WHMIS and Food Safe (Basic or Advanced), First Aid Certification is an asset
- Knowledge of and commitment to upholding high standards of food safety and hygiene
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a genuine desire to provide outstanding customer service
- This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
