Temporary Lead Cook

Equation Staffing is currently seeking a Lead Cook to join a dynamic team in Edmonton. If you have a passion for food preparation, thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment, and have leadership experience, we want to hear from you!
As the Lead Cook , you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals using standardized recipes and production guidelines. You will ensure strict adherence to food safety, handling, and sanitation procedures while managing kitchen operations. This role involves the safe use of kitchen equipment such as knives, grills, fryers, ovens, and broilers. You may also be responsible for supervising kitchen staff and delegating tasks as needed.
Prepare and cook food in accordance with established recipes and standards.
Follow all food safety, handling, and sanitation protocols.
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
Supervise and support kitchen staff, delegating tasks when necessary.
Previous experience as a cook or in a related role is required.
Supervisory experience in a kitchen setting is preferred.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety regulations.
Valid Food Safety Certification.
Criminal Record Check required.
