Data entry clerk - permanent.

Job Responsibility:
As the TPP (Tracked Prescription Program) Data Entry Clerk , you will enter data from tracked prescriptions into a prescription database and handle telephone calls and emails placed to and received from TPP members, the public, and related organizations. You will also perform various clerical duties independently with minimal supervision. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Enter data from tracked prescriptions into prescription database.
Calculate amount of TPP drug in compounded prescriptions.
Verify accuracy of amounts dispensed by the pharmacy according to physicians.
Follow up on incomplete prescriptions and errors in dispensing and/or missing information.
Open, sort, and batch daily mail.
Handle physician requests for tracked prescription pad orders and update simple address changes for prescribers in database.
Record reports of lost or stolen pads by physicians.
Respond to routine telephone inquiries for information regarding TPP.
Provide profiles as requested to practitioners and pharmacies.
Identify duplicate records related to some tracked prescriptions.
QUALIFICATIONS Education:
~ Basic knowledge of office or business practices and communication typically requiring a high school diploma.

Experience:
~ Requirement for 1 to 3 years of related experience

Skills:
Mathematical ability to calculate quantities using percentages, ratios, etc.
Speed and accuracy of data entry.
Ability to concentrate on repetitive tasks for extended periods of time.
Good verbal communication skills.
Attention to detail.
SALARY The salary for this position is $41,639 annually and includes a comprehensive benefit package and pension plan. During the 90-day probationary period, the successful candidate will be required to work from CPSA's downtown Edmonton Office. At the conclusion of a successful probationary period, a hybrid work arrangement may be considered.
