Senior Accounting Technician Remote Work

Manage Full Cycle Bookkeeping: Administer comprehensive bookkeeping services for MNP clients, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced setting.

Payroll & Government Filings: Prepare and maintain payroll, handle government remittances/filings, and record transactions including sales, accounts receivable, expenses, accounts payable, payroll, and Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB) transactions.

Tax Preparation: Mentorship: Provide support and training to junior bookkeeping team members, fostering their growth and development.

Account Reconciliation: Maintain, monitor, and reconcile GL accounts, including cash, bank reconciliations, prepaid expenses, accounts receivable, accounts payable, accrued liabilities, intercompany transactions, and point of sale (POS)/system uploads.

Budget Monitoring: Keep track of work in progress and file budgets, identifying out-of-scope opportunities.

Liaise with clients on administrative matters and provide functional advice to team members.

Educational Background: Certificate or diploma in business administration or accounting is considered an asset.

Bookkeeping Expertise: Minimum of 3 years of full cycle bookkeeping experience.

Cloud Accounting Proficiency: Experience working with cloud accounting software such as QBO or Xero is preferred.

Tax Preparation Skills: Proven experience preparing T4s and ROEs.

Accounting Knowledge: Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and processes.

Software Savvy: Experience with desktop software such as QuickBooks Desktop, Dext and Sage 50 is beneficial.
