Senior Accountant/Staff Accountant - CPA Firm

Job Title: Senior Accountant/Staff Accountant 

Location: Edmonton, AB (In-office and hybrid)

Salary: Up to $85,000 based on experience 

Pathfind has an immediate opening with a well-established, boutique Public Practice Firm. They are seeking a keen, collaborative experienced Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for delivering a range of public accounting services to our small business clientele.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advising on purposeful recommendations and guidance to clients


• Leading and executing on client engagements, specifically compilations and reviews:
  
  
  
  • Planning
  
  
  • Timely and accurate preparation of financial accounting for a variety of clientele
  
  
  • Preparation of personal and corporate tax returns
  
  


• First review of compilation and review engagements


• Represent client at networking and industry events to leverage new business

Requirements:

• 3 to 5 years of progressive professional accounting experience in a public accounting firm environment


• Understanding of accounting and auditing standards and principles, and tax regulations and in a financial environment


• CPA designation or near completion of CPA


• Business acumen


• Proven relationship builder


• Exceptional organizational skills and diligence


• Outstanding interpersonal and communication 


• Excellent critical thinking and critical thinking 


• Strong time management and organizational 


• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Suite
