Development Officer - Full Time / À Temps Plein

As a Grant Development Specialist you will be responsible for all aspects of raising funds from foundations, corporations, and government sources. Conducting proper research of government, corporate and foundation granting programs. This may include written correspondence, phone calls and virtual meetings.
Database & Project Management: Maintaining a database and deadline calendar of quality prospective funders; Grant Writing: Developing award-winning grant proposals to foundations and other grant-making organizations, persuasively communicating the organization’s mission and programs to potential funders.
Developing copy for letters, fundraising marketing materials and funder presentations.
Client Communication and Engagement: Cultivating strong relationships with clients and providing proactive support and recommendations to optimize their chances of successful grant acquisition.
Work Location and Occasional Travel Requirements:
This position is a hybrid-remote role working 3 days in a co-working office.
As a Grant Development Specialist, you can expect to travel 1-4 times per year for company conferences and to meet with geographically distant clients. For local clients, you will have more frequent opportunities for face-to-face meetings.

The ability to craft creative funding proposals in a clear and compelling manner
Excellent persuasive writing, analytical, and research skills
Experience in creating performance measurement and/or evaluation frameworks
A solid understanding of budgets as they relate to proposals and grants
Earned a degree in communications, journalism, English literature, public health or related field
Been able to adapt quickly to new technologies while working in remote settings
