Operation Management Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Operations Manager to spearhead a major branch in Fort McMurray. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing high-stakes transport and lifting projects, ensuring every execution meets the highest global standards for quality and safety. You will act as the bridge between field execution and corporate strategy, driving fleet efficiency and fostering a culture of professional excellence. Team Management: Support, motivate, and mentor a diverse team of field and office personnel, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.

Operational Excellence: Oversee fleet management and resource planning to ensure projects are executed on time and within scope.

Manage operational costs effectively while adhering to strict quality and safety benchmarks.

Business Development: Reporting & Strategy: Provide detailed quantitative and qualitative reports on branch performance to senior management.

Education: Post-secondary degree or diploma in a technical or business-related field.

Leadership Experience: Minimum of 5 years managing large teams (20+ employees), preferably within a unionized environment.

Financial Acumen: Proven track record managing annual operating budgets of $5M or more.

Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with heavy transport methods such as Over-the-Road (OTR) transport, Jack and Slide systems, and SPMT is a significant asset.

Site Readiness: Ability to work on-site in Fort McMurray without restrictions.
