Skills Development and Employment ensures that people with disabilities find and keep meaningful jobs by matching them with employers seeking qualified job candidates. In addition, they offer support with assessments, rehabilitation and child and youth programs.
We are currently looking to fill a Part Time, Homemaking Service role in our North East region – Sault Ste. Schedule: Week Days ( Mon-Fri 9am-5pm or 8am-4pm) No Weekends
Assist consumers in their own homes with non-medical activities of daily living: light housekeeping (dusting, sweep, mop, vacuum, make bed, dishes, etc.) and laundry activities (sort, wash, dry, and fold) on a scheduled basis according to the consumer’s service agreement and March of Dimes Canada policies and procedures.
Provide housekeeping service in a friendly, courteous, professional and safe manner, which respects the consumer’s dignity and right to privacy, while ensuring consumer and staff safety.
Work safe according to WHMIS, Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) laws, regulations, MODC policies and procedures.
The Home Support Worker will be required to shifts up to 32 hours a week.
High School graduate or equivalent
Reliable vehicle with current car insurance
Experience working with older adults, adults with age related health conditions, and/or disabilities.
Knowledge and abilities in housekeeping duties
Ability to work flexible and regularly scheduled hours
Physical Demands Self Analysis required upon hire
