Purchasing Agent - Permanent Full time

We’re seeking an Intermediate Procurement Specialist to manage the full lifecycle of procurement activities for medium-to-high complexity packages, including systems, equipment, and materials. Strategic Sourcing: Conduct research and analysis to develop optimal sourcing strategies for your assigned portfolio.

Supplier Management: Oversee pre-qualification, engagement, negotiations, and performance management to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).

Procurement Events: Develop and execute RFIs and RFPs, managing sourcing events to meet cost and schedule objectives.

Contract Management: Prepare contracts, lead or support negotiations, draft executive briefings, and manage post-award administration.

Commercial Administration: Manage purchase orders and invoice reviews to ensure accuracy and first-time match compliance.

Minimum 3 years of experience in end-to-end supply chain and procurement activities.

Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage complex procurement processes.

Due to the nature of work Irving Shipbuilding does, all successful applicants must meet requirements for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Please note this position requires a full-time, in-office presence.
