During 2026, Gore will combine its operations with Unica Insurance, Beneva’s Ontario-based subsidiary specializing in niche commercial and personal insurance, creating a stronger, more diversified mutual insurer with greater scale and long-term stability.

As a Commercial Underwriter, you will help our brokers and customers by creating unique and tailored solutions that manage the risk of our everchanging business world. You’ll have the chance to refine your commercial underwriting skills in an environment that recognizes performance and care for our customers.
A minimum of 3 years of commercial underwriting experience
Proven experience providing genuine customer service to broker partners by presenting commercial insurance solutions specific to the needs of the client
Ability to work well under pressure with minimum supervision
Proficient skill with computer applications including a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Location: We’re a hybrid team that thrives on the energy and value of in-office collaboration. This role offers the best of both worlds, with 2 days a week spent in our vibrant office in Cambridge.
The expected base salary range for this position is $52,500 - $86,500. You have the potential to earn more through Gore Mutual’s discretionary bonus program which gives you an opportunity to increase your total compensation, provided the business meets its performance targets and you meet your individual goals.
