IT Software Tester
$65k - $115k per yearSoftware Development Engineering in Test (SDET)
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated SDET to join our team. This hybrid role requires a strong foundation in automation frameworks, testing methodologies, and modern development practices. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in UI, mobile, and API testing, and will be comfortable working in Agile environments with CI/CD pipelines. This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto and/or Client office at a minimum 2-3 days per week - subject to change at any time.
Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks for UI, mobile, and API testing.
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to define test strategies and ensure high-quality releases.
- Implement and maintain automated test scripts using Java and Python.
- Apply Behavior Driven Development (BDD) principles to enhance test coverage and readability.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and DevOps tools.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Create and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on business requirements.
- Leverage Gen AI tools and techniques to enhance testing efficiency and innovation.
- Expertise in building and maintaining automation frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with UI and mobile application testing and automation.
- Proficiency in API and microservices testing.
- Programming skills in Java and Python.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and DevOps pipelines.
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and software development lifecycle.
- Strong grasp of testing concepts, test planning, and execution.
- Exposure to Generative AI tools and their application in testing.
