Dietary Aide Cook

RhynoCare is seeking an experienced Dietary Aide to work in Long Term Care facilities in St. You will be hired and onboarded with RhynoCare as an Independent Contractor.

Serves food to residents according to individual diets and preferences.

Responsible for portion control of food items.

Responsible for safe operation of equipment including documenting pot wash, dishwasher, refrigerators and freezer temperatures, and appropriate follow-up as necessary.

Delivery of catering to assigned locations throughout the hospital, including pick-up of dirty dishes for ware washing.

Observes time limits for meal serving and maintain foods at proper serving temperature.

Assist cooks to clean and prepare uncooked foods, clear plates and trays, loads and operates dishwasher. Participates in proper storage and labeling of dietary supplies and food, including leftovers.

Responsible for Check and document temperatures and/or taste of items being prepared and/or served, according to pre-established guidelines and procedures, including HACCP (hazardous analysis critical control point).

Initiate and complete necessary corrective action for unsatisfactory temperature/quality of food and ensure appropriate documentation, rotating stock and monitoring expiry dates of food and products. Adheres to established departmental policies, procedures regarding quality assurance, fire, safety, environment, and infection control.

Stocks unit kitchenettes.

Participates in facility meetings as assigned. Demonstrate commitment to Rhynocare's mission of delivering high-quality, compassionate care by upholding the values of discipline, integrity, collaboration, and empowerment.

Successful completion and/or enrollment in a Food Service Worker Program meeting the requirements of the Ontario Long-Term Care Homes Act required.

Must have Food Handlers Certification approved by Public Health Department

Experience in a Long-Term Care setting or with seniors is preferred
