Remote Systems Administrator

Our client, is seeking an experienced, highly technical Systems Administrator IV to support core infrastructure operations and cybersecurity initiatives.
In this high-visibility senior role, you will perform day-to-day infrastructure administration, troubleshoot complex production incidents, and drive technical projects within the CyberArk Privileged Access Management (PAM) ecosystem. Working closely with enterprise engineering, database, server, and network teams, you will monitor system performance, initiate corrective actions for application errors, and establish preventative measures to mitigate recurring operational risks. The ideal candidate pairs strong systems administration discipline across UNIX/Linux environments with hands-on expertise managing enterprise secrets, access controls, and privileged credentials.
Duration: 4-Month Contract (with potential for extension or permanent conversion)
Hybrid (3 days per week on-site at the corporate office, 2 days remote)
High-Impact Cybersecurity Focus: Lead critical operational and project initiatives within CyberArk and enterprise identity management frameworks.

Senior Enterprise Scope: Serve as an L4 technical escalation resource collaborating directly with specialized engineering, database, and platform architecture squads.
Enjoy a balanced hybrid work model combining 3 on-site collaborative days with 2 remote working days per week.
Potential for Growth: Secure a focused 4-month contract engagement with strong potential for contract extension or permanent conversion.
CyberArk Project & Operations Management: Own operational execution and project deliverables within the CyberArk environment, securing privileged accounts, credentials, and access policies.
Incident Triage & Troubleshooting: Monitor infrastructure systems, respond to escalation calls from application support groups, and troubleshoot complex production incidents to ensure high system availability.
Corrective & Preventative Maintenance: Log and document production problems, conduct root-cause analysis on recurring system errors, and implement preventative measures across infrastructure systems.
Interact with systems programmers, database administrators, and network engineers to align system dependencies and maintain responsive infrastructure.
System Monitoring & Shell Scripting: Utilize system diagnostic tools and shell scripts to monitor performance, automate routine administrative tasks, and optimize system health.
Senior Systems Administration Experience: 8+ years of progressive hands-on systems administration experience managing enterprise infrastructure environments.
Direct, hands-on administrative and project implementation experience with CyberArk Privileged Access Management (PAM) suites (Must-Have).
UNIX/Linux Systems Knowledge: Strong practical understanding of UNIX/Linux systems management, server administration (such as AIX or HP-UX), and diagnostic utilities.
Preferred Assets & Nice-to-Haves
Working knowledge of enterprise monitoring and diagnostic tools (e.g., Shell scripting capability (Bash, KornShell, Python) for automated maintenance and monitoring.
