Inside Sales Representative/Showroom Sales

Reporting to the Sales Manager, this role will act as a liaison between customer and distributor. This incumbent oversees developing excellent relationships with customers, and potential customers, while continually seeking new business from them. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers. Provide excellent customer service and support, addressing inquiries, concerns, and resolving issues promptly.

• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with customers to close deals. Work with the outside sales team and management to ensure pricing and terms are within company guidelines.
• Customer follow-up to ensure their satisfaction, address any concerns, and explore opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
• Ensure that all sales activities and interactions with customers comply with company policies, industry regulations and legal requirements.
• Set and meet sales targets each year. Develop and implement strategies to achieve or exceed these targets.
• Relieve inventory on a FIFO (First in First out) system, unless specified otherwise.
• Actively seek new business from current customers and potential new customers through pro-active phone calls, faxes, and e-mails.
• Avoid having any aged inventory. If there is aged inventory, work diligently to rotate it quickly.
• Maintain communication with customers and be an advocate in dealings with internal departments.
• Provide all required documentation/reports as requested by the customer.

Completion of post-secondary education, University / College education in Business or Marketing preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge of both the metric and imperial measurement system an asset.

• Can manage multiple projects under tight timelines.
• Experience with Excel, Word, and Outlook. Previous interaction and experience working with customer service.
• Focused on value-added selling, customer service, and developing strategic partnerships with customers.
