Inventory & Logistics Manager, International

The Logistics and Inventory Manager has responsibility for the flow of all materials and finished goods, inbound and outbound. The scope of the position includes the warehouse, inventory control, material handling, and transportation.

Support the optimization of material flow from warehouse stocking locations through to point of use.

Ensure inventory levels and associated target buffer levels are in alignment with actual consumption.

Ensure point of use inventory replenishment locations are clearly understood by supporting team members.

Execute and continue to optimize the inventory cycle counting procedure to ensure adherence and accuracy levels are within established target.

Champion the year-end inventory count process.

Manage the logistics of all materials with respect to the mode of transportation, tariff implications, customs paperwork and any product or component specific declarations.

Resolve any problems or complaints originating from customers or partners.

Meet on-time delivery and inventory accuracy targets.

Utilize analytics to monitor and measure performance, identify problems in operations, and achieve high performance at optimal cost.

Devise ways to optimize inventory control procedures.

Collaborate with warehouse employees and other staff to ensure business goals are met.

Manage, engage, and provide leadership to team members through coaching, support and regular feedback.

Assess and review employee performance and identify professional development opportunities for team members.

Ensure adequate tools and training are provided to all new and existing employees.

Document problems and initiate action to prevent and solve problems within the product, process or quality system.

Verify the implementation of corrective action.

Control further processing until the problem is corrected.

Perform any activity in the fulfillment of the Inventory and Logistics Manager's responsibilities.

Hire and terminate immediate subordinates in accordance with Delta Controls policies and processes.

Proficient working knowledge of MS Office programs.

Proven experience as an inventory manager or similar position.

Excellent knowledge of data analysis.

Able to understand and define requirements for international shipments.

Excellent organizational and planning skills.

A recognized Supply Chain or Operations accreditation.

• A degree in business or commerce will be an asset.
• In-depth experience and understanding of ERP or MRP systems along with high proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement.
