The Hope in Shadows Society (Megaphone) is seeking a Board Treasurer to help steward the financial health of our organization. This is a volunteer role on our governance Board of
Directors, as the day-to-day financial management is overseen by the Executive Director. grassroots, community-driven organization.
Support the Executive Director on financial planning and decision-making
• Ensure the organization maintains appropriate financial controls and complies with
Background in accounting, financial management, or a related field (CPA designation an
asset but not required), or equivalent experience (past Treasurer role)

• Experience with charity financial reporting or governance is an asset
• Commitment to Megaphone's mission of amplifying marginalized voices and creating

work opportunities for people experiencing poverty or homelessness
Serve a minimum 2-year term
