Reporting to the Manager, Payroll and Benefits , the Compensation and Benefits Advisor plays a key role in the management, validation, and analysis of compensation and benefits data.
The incumbent contributes to data integrity, the smooth execution of compensation processes, and the continuous improvement of internal practices, while performing a hybrid role that combines data analysis and administrative management.
Administer employee benefits programs, including group insurance and retirement plans.
Monitor and support short-term and long-term disability cases.
Manage relationships with insurance and retirement plan providers.
Negotiate and renew group insurance and retirement plan contracts.
Advise managers and employees on insurance, retirement, and disability-related matters.
Prepare communications, training materials, and explanatory documents related to benefits programs.
Support the Talent Acquisition team by providing benefits-related information to new hires.
Verify, validate, and ensure the integrity of compensation-related data (role includes a strong administrative component).
Conduct basic to intermediate compensation analyses.
Incentive and bonus files (tracking signed approvals, validations, and follow-ups).
Collaborate with internal teams (HR, Payroll, and external partners) to ensure data consistency and quality.
Technical Skills
Strong proficiency in Excel (spreadsheets, data analysis, lookup functions such as VLOOKUP ).
Ability to produce basic to intermediate data analyses.
Strong aptitude for data administration and management, with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Interest in HR systems (HRIS) and technology tools.
Strong attention to detail and execution quality.
Ability to analyze data and manage exceptions.
Hybrid profile combining data analysis and administrative management .
Motivation to learn and grow within the compensation field.
Advanced bilingualism (French and English) required due to the organization's nationwide operations and the need for effective communication across regions.
