McInnes Cooper seeks a motivated and proactive Legal Assistant to join our team in our Saint John office in a full-time permanent position. The incumbent will provide high-quality administrative support for a group of lawyers within an innovative team support model; As a Legal Assistant you will be responsible for:
Ensuring lawyers practices are organized efficiently including calendar management email correspondence phone calls meeting logistics and preparation and travel arrangements.
Preparing client invoices and expense claims.
Assisting with meeting room preparation and audio-visual equipment setup; Legal Assistant Paralegal or Office Administration diploma; however we recognize that historical and systemic barriers have shaped and limited access to traditional education training and employment pathways. Minimum two (2) years experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal.
Exceptional technology skills with proficiency in all aspects of Microsoft Office and a genuine interest in keeping up to date with the newest technology.
Excel in a demanding fast-paced team environment be highly detail-oriented and flexible to changing priorities.
