Applicants must be an MPP student at Max Bell School of Public Policy

The Research Assistant will support the preparation of a grant proposal for a skills-focused conference for emerging policy professionals and students. This role involves gathering background information assisting with proposal writing and contributing to the development of a clear compelling case for funding.

Conduct background research on funding programs and alignment with project goals
Assist in drafting and editing sections of the grant proposal (e.g. rationale objectives budget justification)
Support data gathering formatting and document preparation
Collaborate with supervisor to refine proposal content and meet submission requirements

Current Master of Public Policy student
Strong writing analytical and organizational skills
Experience with funding programs and research proposal writing

The research assistant will be working approximately 5 hours per week from December 18 2025 to April 20 2026.

Hourly Salary:
$5 (Part time)

This position is covered by the Association ofMcGill University Research Employees(AMURE) collective agreement.
