Membership and Marketing Specialist
Kenilworth Media is looking for a specialist with a customer-service focus and a background in audience development, membership and marketing services. A resourceful self-starter, you will be focused on building and engaging the audience, marketing our continuing education and paid membership programs, converting the audience to paying clients and providing customer service to those clients.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of Business Development and the Senior Director of Operations and cross-functionally with editorial, education, event and IT teams.
Duties for the position include the following:
All marketing activities related to membership, which includes content and creative for all marketing initiatives, execution/coordination of all marketing campaigns across various channels, tracking of campaign performance and refinement of campaigns based on that performance.
Manage and maintain all membership activities, which can involve the creation of new membership levels, creation/amendment of various e-mails related to membership activity, coordinating various membership deliverables, managing various aspects of the membership platform and membership information within our marketing automation platform.
Member (and potential member) support and communication (includes assisting in sign up, managing cancellation and refund requests).
Managing our Influencer/Affiliate Marketing program as it relates to driving membership.
Manage our membership's Facebook group, and seek to engage members within that forum.
Develop and manage email and social media marketing campaigns for our continuing education events, and online education courses/programs
Create and send post-event surveys and provide survey results to internal stakeholders
Drive overall audience engagement in the market, membership conversion, and online lead generation by:
Creating SEO optimized landing pages with ongoing content creation and management.
Creating and executing cross-channel content-marketing campaigns, from initial planning and content creation to final testing, delivery and reporting.
Analyzing individual campaign performances to derive actionable insights to improve performance, conversion rates, and audience engagement.
Provide regular performance updates to internal stakeholders and make recommendations while sharing best practices, and alerting to new trends and emerging opportunities.
Qualifications needed:
Post-secondary education in a relevant field (e.g. communication, marketing)
Previous experience (preferably at least 3 years) in membership coordination and/or audience engagement.
Previous marketing experience (preferably at least 5 years).
Proficiency with membership, e-mail and marketing automation software
Experience with social schedulers, social channels (e.g. Buffer, Facebook, X, Instagram and LinkedIn) and their various tools
Experience with Canva
Good understanding/experience of onsite conversion best practices, SEO best practices, A/B testing, and Google Analytics.
Strong organization and prioritization abilities, with the capacity to manage inquiries, requests, and processes with minimal supervision.
Excellent written and verbal English skills.
First-rate interpersonal skills, combined with strong collaboration and project management skills for effective teamwork with colleagues.
Ability to work in a deadline driven environment.
A self-starter able to work both independently and with others.
Love data and understand how to harness it to drive improvements.
