Fleet Compliance & Safety Advisor/Officer

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Safety & Compliance Coordinator to support fleet operations and ensure compliance with federal, provincial, and cross‑border regulations. This role helps maintain safety standards, manages driver and vehicle documentation, and supports operational efficiency in a fast‑paced environment.
Safety & Compliance
Administer fleet safety programs (driver safety, IFTA, licensing, permits, insurance, maintenance)
Develop and maintain safety and compliance policies aligned with DOT/MTO requirements
Ensure Hours of Service compliance; Lead safety meetings and support corrective actions
Driver Management & Training
Coordinate training, discipline, and retraining.
Regulatory & Documentation
Maintain CVORs, inspections, safety records, and compliance documentation
Consolidate logs monthly to calculate mileage for road‑tax purposes
Incidents & Claims
Manage accident reports, insurance claims, investigations, and follow‑up actions
Respond to driver issues and escalate emergencies when required
Provide vacation coverage for scheduling
Complete filing, documentation management, and general administrative tasks
2–3 years’ experience in transportation safety, compliance, or a related role

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Note: This position requires availability for overtime and on‑call responsibilities

Job Status: Regular - Full Time

Work Arrangement: Full-time in office (meaning that you will be required to perform your work on-site)

The agreed upon salary may also vary from the advertised salary ranges depending on several factors, such as the candidate’s qualifications, experience and internal equity

The salary range above includes an Annual Incentive Plan objective which represent 4% of your Base Salary based on the achievement of individual and corporate objectives; The Annual Achievement Incentive Plan (“AIP”) payment is calculated based on a formula that takes into account several factors, including, without limitation, corporate and individual performance measures. For work arrangements that are ‘Hybrid’, successful candidates must be based in Canada and report to a set Dome office for a minimum of 3 days a week.
