Senior Accounting Supervisor

Position: Senior Accountant Ref: 1124488 Location: Salary: $85-100,000 + bonus + RSP Match

Reporting to the Manager, Accounting, the Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing the full accounting cycle and preparing accurate financial statements in accordance with accounting standards. This is a hands‑on role with broad exposure across finance, offering a true end‑to‑end view of the organization’s financial operations.
Ownership of the monthly accounting close, including analysis and journal entries
Developing and recommending accounting treatment for new or complex transactions
Leading the year‑end external audit process and working with external specialists
Acting as a subject‑matter expert for general ledger reporting tools
Supporting account reconciliations, cash management activities, and system enhancements
Participating in ad hoc analysis, reporting, and finance projects
Completed CPA designation strongly preferred

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Exposure to insurance‑style accounting, revenue recognition, or other regulated environments is an asset
• Strong technical accounting foundation with a hands‑on approach
• Systems experience with PeopleSoft, Oracle, or Workday is an asset
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with non‑finance partners

2 days in office / 3 remote (4 days in office during initial onboarding period)
