Purchasing Agent Full Time

The Procurement Specialist manages the plant-level sourcing lifecycle to support technology, project management, and field operation plans. You will be responsible for executing procurement strategies in strict accordance with company policies while managing the end-to-end Purchase-to-Pay process. By organizing competitive biddings and managing local supplier agreements not covered under global category management, you ensure the plant receives the best possible value in terms of quality, delivery, and pricing.
Competitive Pay: $30.00/hour.
Strong possibility of converting from a contract role to a Full-Time Employee (FTE).
Standard 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week.
Impactful Work: Your performance directly influences the efficiency and profitability of local manufacturing and field operations.
Create Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and organize competitive bidding processes to secure optimal pricing and quality.
Issue purchase orders in response to material requirements from manufacturing and engineering departments.

Implement Category Management strategies and establish local agreements for goods/services not covered by corporate contracts.
Supplier Relations: Evaluate and monitor supplier performance to ensure reliability and compliance with service level agreements.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate closely with Production, Engineering, and other internal departments to align procurement with operational timelines.
Completion of an undergraduate degree in a Technical, Business, or related discipline.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a procurement or production environment.
Technical Skills: * Proficiency in Supplier Sourcing and evaluating qualified vendors.
Strong understanding of Purchase Order (PO) systems and the Purchase-to-Pay process.
Analytical skills to monitor price variance and operational data.
