CNC Mill Operator-Nights

We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC mills and lathes to produce high-quality, precision metal components. Reliable Transportation: Must have your own reliable personal vehicle for daily commuting.

Pay & Shift Options

Competitive Pay: $28.00 – $32.00 per hour (starting rate based on experience).

Shift Flexibility: Both Day and Night shifts are available to fit your lifestyle.

Independently set up, adjust programs, and operate CNC mills and lathes to meet daily production targets.

Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve machine or tooling issues, making necessary adjustments to CNC programs.

Quality Control: Safety & Efficiency: Maintain a clean, organized workspace and collaborate with the team to optimize production.

A solid background setting up and operating CNC mills and/or lathes in a busy machine shop environment.

Technical Literacy: Ability to confidently read and work from complex blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders.

Precision Skills: High proficiency with manual precision measuring instruments to verify part accuracy.

A strong basic understanding of G-code to read, navigate, and edit machine programs at the console.

A dependable, detail-oriented professional who thrives with minimal supervision and works efficiently.

Hands-on CNC machining and setup experience

Set up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting 3-jaw and 4-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers

Verify settings by measuring first-run parts and sample work pieces

Complete production and quality logs, including quality forms and daily product sheets

Operate lifting devices such as overhead cranes

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives as directed by management

Minimum 3 years of machinist experience

2–3 years of CNC mill and/or lathe setup experience

CNC certificate is considered an asset

CNC programming experience is considered an asset

Knowledge of ISO and API is considered an asset

Strong knowledge of measuring tools, including calipers, OD/ID micrometers, height gauges, thread wires, and thread gauges

Ability to troubleshoot, detect abnormal running conditions, and maintain high-quality standards

Able to lift and move materials up to 30–50 lbs and stand for extended periods
