HVAC Mechanical Engineer- Construction

Randstad is excited to support one of our growing clients in their search for a Mechanical Engineer with experience in HVAC & Plumbing construction or equivalent. This position will be joining the Mechanical Division in either Kitchener or London and will see you liasing with other design staff to develop conceptual designs and prepare design briefs, drawings and specifications.

Collaborate with Design & Project Leads on conceptual designs, addressing potential issues and code requirements.

• Act as a technical advisor to the project team.
• Conduct engineering reviews to ensure compliance with codes and standards; Oversee project milestones, provide progress updates, and ensure timely, budget-conscious delivery.
• Support project hand-off to Construction Services, assisting with verification requirements.Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical
• Provide construction support and site reviews as needed.

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited Canadian University, or equivalent is required.

• Registration as a licensed Professional Engineer with the Professional Engineers of Ontario is required.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in Mechanical Engineering, specifically related to HVAC & Plumbing construction industry or equivalent required.
• Experience in the design of mechanical systems commonly used in multi-unit residential buildings, or similar, is required.
• Experience in private sector works, specifically working with private sector developers is considered an asset.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and AutoCAD suites
