Merchandiser & Sales

As a Merchandise Planner, you will maximize bottom-line profitability and efficiencies through the development and execution of achievable merchandise financial plans. The ability to forecast within a selling season, using building blocks to capitalize on areas of opportunity and/or risk is paramount.

Data driven Analysis, Forecasting & Budgeting will play an integrated role in assisting with the monthly, quarterly and annual forecasting and budgeting processes. Consulting with the entire Strategic Business Unit (SBU) to ensure a complete understanding of the overall strategy going forward to align with financial targets.

Development of accurate, optimal and achievable pre-season Financial & Merchandise plans for seasonal and long-life cycle merchandise.

Lead weekly meetings with the SBU team to review in-season forecasts of sales, markdowns, receipts and gross margin. A business degree at the graduate or undergraduate level

• 1-3 years of retail experience is an asset
• Strong PC skills, including PowerPoint and Excel (modelling using Excel)
• Knowledge of Retail Mathematics, Inventory Management and Financial Accounting
• Demonstrate "common sense" approach to problem solving and analysis
