PART-TIME PAYROLL AND BENEFITS SPECIALIST

IPH Limited is seeking a bilingual payroll and benefits specialist to join the Human Resources team on a part-time basis (20-25 hours/week). Payroll
Process bi-weekly payroll and ensure accurate deductions
Ensure payroll system accuracy and implement applicable controls and audits; Prepare payroll documents including T4 slips, RL-1 slips, annual RL-1 Summary and ROEs
Review time submissions for hourly employees to process appropriate payments
Resolve issues and act as main point of contact for payroll related employee inquiries
Work with the broader HR and finance teams to answer questions and provide necessary documentation
Keep up to date on statutory payroll changes and ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal policies
Ensure compliance of deductions for all contributions including group benefits, RRSP, and pension plans
Manage disability claims in collaboration with insurance provider from first day of absence through to return-to-work
Diploma or bachelor’s degree in accounting, payroll administration, or a related field; or a combination of relevant work experience and education

• 5+ years of experience in payroll and benefits administration
• Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) or similar designation is considered an asset (not required) Bilingual: Strong oral and written communication skills in English and French are required as IPH has employees in Quebec
• Experience with DayForce is considered and asset
• Experience with Successfactors is considered an asset
• Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly in Excel
• Demonstrated knowledge of Canadian payroll legislated government regulations
